Overview
Mineral filters work by sitting on the skin’s surface and reflecting or absorbing UV light. Zinc oxide is broad spectrum and well tolerated, which makes it a strong choice for sensitive skin and for use over actives like retinal or vitamin C. Apply generously — about a quarter teaspoon for the face — and reapply every two hours of sun exposure.
